SpeedLotto: Check Korean Scratch Odds Before You Buy

You walk into a Korean convenience store and see eight different Spitto scratch rounds on display. The clerk grabs one at random—or you do. But what you don’t see is that some rounds are mathematically better bets than others right now. One might have 95% of tickets still in circulation with the top prize unclaimed. Another has the grand prize already claimed and is essentially an empty shell. Most people buy blind. I built SpeedLotto so you don’t have to.

I noticed this problem while buying scratch tickets in Seoul. Every round exists in a different state—different numbers of first-prize tickets remaining, different sell-through rates. The Korean DH Lottery publishes all this data publicly, but it’s scattered across a website designed for checking results, not comparing active rounds. So I pulled the data and built a tool that shows you every active round ranked by value, updated daily.

What it does

  • Today’s most valuable round — Open the app and immediately see which round offers the best statistical value right now, ranked by remaining expected value (payback rate)
  • Last-chance rounds — Find rounds where 95%+ of tickets are still in circulation but the first prize is still alive—the “golden window” before a round goes cold
  • Detailed breakdowns — See remaining first/second/third prizes, how many tickets have sold, value-change graphs from launch to today, and after-tax winnings calculated with Korean withholding rates (22% and 33%)
  • Nearby retailers map — Browse Korean DH Lottery scratch retailers on an interactive map, filtered by game type (Spitto 500/1000/2000), and automatically centered on your location. Directions buttons work with Naver Map, KakaoMap, or Google Maps
  • Metric guide — Unfamiliar with EV, stock rate, or estimated sold rate? A single-line glossary explains each term without leaving the app

The app shows both English and Korean interfaces, no login required, and runs completely ad-supported. Location data used for the retailers map stays on your device. All round and prize data comes directly from the official DH Lottery site, making this a transparent third-party tool built on public information.

Who this is for

This app is built specifically for people who buy Korean scratch tickets. If you’re a casual buyer who didn’t realize rounds vary in statistical value, or if you’ve ever bought a round only to discover the top prize was already claimed, this is for you. If you’re the type who likes tracking late rounds with the first prize still alive, waiting for that perfect moment, SpeedLotto hands you the data to make that decision. It’s also useful for anyone in Korea learning about lottery mechanics, or part of the Korean diaspora who buys scratch tickets when visiting home.

Download SpeedLotto on Google Play today. No signup, no payments, just a clearer view of which scratch rounds are actually worth your money right now. And remember—this app shows you the odds, but buying lottery tickets is still gambling. If you’re in Korea and need support with problem gambling, call 1336.
