Ever find yourself translating the same phrases over and over? Whether you’re learning a language, working with international clients, or traveling frequently, you’ve probably typed the same sentence into Google Translate dozens of times. I got tired of that cycle, so I built an app that remembers every translation automatically.
Translate Recorder is a translation tool with a memory. Every time you translate something, it’s saved to a searchable history. Need that phrase again next week? Just search for it. Use certain translations all the time? Bookmark them as favorites. It’s the translation app I wished existed when I was juggling multiple languages daily.

What it does
At its core, Translate Recorder handles translations across 12 languages: Korean, English, Japanese, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, and Russian. Auto-detect figures out your source language instantly, so you can just paste and go.
But the real power is in what happens after you translate:
- Automatic history tracking — Every translation is saved without you lifting a finger. Search by keyword, filter by language pair, or browse by date to find exactly what you need.
- Smart organization — Bookmark frequently-used translations as favorites. Filter results by source and target language. Group translations by date for easy browsing through your history.
- Practical tools — Auto-copy results to your clipboard, listen to pronunciations with text-to-speech, look up translations on Google, or search for synonyms to find more natural phrasing.
- Data portability — Export your entire translation history to a file and import it on another device. Your data stays with you.
- Language customization — Pin your most-used languages to the top of the list and swap source and target languages with one tap.

The free version uses Google Translate and supports up to 300 characters per translation. If you need longer texts or more natural results, the Premium plan unlocks DeepL integration (up to 5,000 characters) and removes ads. Both versions save your history locally on your device—no cloud servers involved.
Who it’s for
I built this with a few specific users in mind. Language learners who want to track their progress and review past translations. Professionals who handle the same multilingual communications repeatedly and need quick access to established phrasings. Travelers who want to save useful translations for later without fumbling through their browser history. Anyone who switches between languages frequently and is tired of re-doing the same work.

If you’ve ever thought “I know I translated this before, but where did it go?”, give Translate Recorder a try. It’s available now on the Google Play Store, and the free version is fully functional—no paywalls blocking core features.
