If you’re the type of person who forgets to drink water until you realize it’s 6 PM and you’ve barely had a glass, I built something for you. WaterDrop is a water intake tracker that removes friction from logging your daily hydration and turns it into a habit you actually maintain.
The core problem is simple: staying hydrated is easy to neglect when life gets busy. Whether you’re training for something, managing your weight, or just trying to be healthier, drinking enough water matters—but remembering to do it doesn’t. I wanted to build an app that made logging hydration so frictionless that it would become automatic, not another chore.
What It Does
- One-tap logging. The app comes with six preset cup sizes commonly used in everyday life. Tap your cup size once and it’s logged. If you use a custom bottle or tumbler, define it and add it to your custom cup library.
- Visual progress gauge. Your daily intake fills a water droplet-shaped gauge as you log drinks. You can see exactly how much further you need to go to hit your goal, making progress tangible and satisfying.
- Smart reminders. Set your preferred reminder window—say, 9 AM to 10 PM—and the app nudges you to drink at intervals you define (like every 90 minutes). You won’t forget even on hectic days.
- Motivation through stats. Track your streak of consecutive days hitting your goal, view weekly intake graphs, and see which cup sizes you use most. Watching your hydration habits improve day over day is genuinely rewarding.
- Home screen widget. Check your daily intake and goal progress without opening the app.
The app also supports both light and dark themes, works entirely offline with no account required, and keeps all your data safe on your device. It’s available in English and Korean.
