If you buy lottery tickets in Korea, you’ve probably wondered: has anyone actually won near me? Korea’s DH Lottery publishes which retail stores produced winners each week, but that information is buried across dozens of draw announcements. I built an app to answer that question instantly.
I created DH Lotto Hotspot: Map & Stats because I was tired of manually checking draw history. Every week new winning stores are announced, but there’s no easy way to see patterns in your own neighborhood or region. I wanted a tool that would show me at a glance where winners have been drawn locally, what selection methods (auto vs. manual) worked best, and how distributions shift over time.
What the app does
- Map view of nearby winners — Once you grant location permission, the app automatically displays pins for all stores in your area that have produced lottery winners. Tap any pin to see that store’s full history, win distribution, and get instant directions.
- Latest draw results — See exactly where the most recent draw landed, displayed both on a map and as a searchable list. Data updates as new draws are published.
- Statistical insights — Explore province-level, district-level, and neighborhood-level breakdowns of winning stores. Compare auto-pick vs. manual-pick trends and track cumulative patterns across draws.
- Search and favorites — Search by store name or address to check winning history anywhere in Korea—your office neighborhood, a friend’s area, or somewhere you’re visiting. Star favorite stores to skip the search next time.
All data comes from DH Lottery’s public draw announcements. Your location is used only to render the nearby map and is never sent to any external server. Favorites are stored on your device. No account or sign-in required, and no in-app purchases beyond optional ads.
